Westhaven Retreat transport options

Self Drive

If you are comfortable driving in New Zealand and don’t mind driving the last 45 minutes on a gravel road, then the self drive option is for you. We have very precise driving directions, with suggested sightseeing stops on the way.

For guests arriving in Nelson or Takaka, Nelson is approximately a 3.5 hour and Takaka a 1.5 hour drive to the Lodge. After travelling through Takaka you reach the small township of Collingwood, located one hour from the Lodge. This is your last petrol and grocery stop.

If preferred, the transfer can take the form of a fully catered scenic tour. It’s leisurely, informal and designed to cater for everyone. It also provides an insight into local attractions, historical cafes and New Zealand's people. Inquire now...
